People like to judge and criticize is what make us human .
At the end of the day if it works and you do 1k cars or more in year.
Only 1 car comes back cause fan belt did’nt get tight enough I think your
Doing great.
I agree with Eric but only because his a very experience mechanic.
If your doing a engine and your learning them please torque things down
Also have workshop Manuel or someone that has the experience with you.is hard to say by sounds just your belt needs tightening .
this might be able to help you.

have feel how tight belt is or belts if you have more then one.
don’t take much to tighten them to see if makes a diferencesorry mate by the sounds you have bad transmission.
wish you all the best.
good lucki would go back to him ask for the old pump.
it sounds like possibly he used after market pump (cheap pump)
plug maybe the same but positive & neg mighty be wrong.
pump will still work it will send enought fuel to run your car but it will
make noises as it struggles.
keep us postedhave you checked transmission oil?
dang i could’ve had free premium member 🙁
hi first do you have built in tank pump
or outside pump?
did you replace pump or did mechanic?
if mechanic- always ask to see your old pump
and take it home with you cause that way you can find out
if it did come from your car.
if you have away to remove new pump and compare with old
it will answer the question.
them again could be something as small as a socket from mechanic tools
fell between spare tyreoh by the way weather here is just as bad getting storms every afternoon.
feels like world coming to end very scary.
good lucknice you have pick up a good truck.
only sounds like minor issues to me.
wish you all best .
keep us postedhi nice work nightflyr so much detail information i love it.
so much to read .
now let undestand you found coolant leak but don’t no where is coming from ?
also you found oil in your reservoir but none in radiator?
can i ask you is this vehicle yours?
how long have you had for
reason i ask is that most cases people buy car not knowing that the head gasket been replace.
so all tho radiator gets flushed there will always be small amount oil that normal reservoir picks up.
as for the leak most time comes from water pump when seals starting to fail most time is dificult to see as cooland drips out
from tiny holeto me auto for pick hour traffic going to work every day car nothing worse them changing gears every few seconds and manual for fun like racing
thanks, but I know the battery isnt it. When I got it to start yesterday, I drove it all afternoon it ran perfectly.
http://www.ericthecarguy.com/no-start-faq/solving-automotive-no-start-problems/crank-no-startnow this link is not about your battery just watch video 😆
Nice work nightflyr.
My question to wayneg209
How did belt break?
Follow the diagram replace the belt make sure all timing is right.
Remove all spark plugs if you don’t have a compression tester
This is what I use to do cause im old school and I never had any problems .
Place my finger over the whole where spark plug got removed and got someone to crank start.
If the pressure is strong it will push your finger out and make pressure noise you’ll know that cylinder is good.
Do this on all you will find if bent valve you will not have pressure.
just make sure finger is covering the entrance not inside the hole please making
me worry 🙁
I have an 03 F-250 with a 5.4 liter gas engine that will crank but won’t start . It hard starts for me first thing in the morning and will run fine, but as soon as I shut it down it won’t start up again. Any ideas?
