My opinion comes from experience.
You CAN’T DO 100% assessment by looking at a picture.
In fact we assess cars by pictures for insurance companies.
Once car comes to shop we see the extra damage we let insurance
Know most of the time they pay the extra but not always some times we loose.
im not saying your wrong im just saying needs to be looked at.

Is like been in classroom doing exam.
The guy next to me is asking for answers.
You said your a auto tech student (currently in my engines class)
why not ask your teacher or mentor.
Honestly!
If you don’t trust your teacher for answers
God help the auto industry these kids our the future.
I would go back to the last shop if they are willing to waive the inspection fee. As they should, since the problem still exists and any charges associated with diagnosis should be theirs. Just verify that they are attempting to see if it’s the evaporator in the heater box. You wouldn’t be able to see dye without removing the core, but a sniffer should pick up leaking refrigerant out of the vents.
well said.
thats what i would do.
keep us posted godd luck

Hi im just wondering how long ago did mechanic touched
Your car?
I would ring him before touching car .
I would get second opinion from another mechanic
Make sure the guy did done job right.
That’s my advice all the best

Yes simple easy mistakes.
When I buy a part or gaskets I always check model/year and engine number.
im not Honda person so I can’t advise you but if you can post pics of what your talking about.
It would certainly help

You know pretty much these Alternators are the same.
Think of it as adventure just do it.
Have you heard saying the only way to learn is to do it.
If only everyone made a video on how to fix every model.
I think Haynes will be out of business

Wow so much to read 🙁
OK 1st if you don’t have the money don’t go buy fancy toys like basic code reader.
Get your self cheap basic tools and stick with basics so far watching Eric work
To help with your car is huge bonus.

2nd -P0430 is bad catalytic converter go get one from wreckers.
Don’t go listen to people about washing it down with soap
Or poor thinner in fuel tank you will do more harm them good.

3rd- EGR valve has nothing to do with your transmission it is (Exhaust Gas Recirculation)
it helps in increasing efficiency of vehicles and reducing pollution.
Do you experience rough idling or valve knock? No them there it is.

I would degrease the belts powerstearing pump 1 aerosol spray of degreaser is like 2 dollars
Get a water pressure washer and wash it down.
Stay away from electricals like fuse box etc
I can’t see any leaks from your pics so I can’t advise you
All I see is a stain on pipe ,once is all clean if you can take a video with your engine running
That way I’ll have better understanding is leak is from gasket or the pipe
Good luck keep us posted

Looks like the fuel pump is sucking air. Pumping air and fuel into the line. Completely fill your gas tank with fuel and see if the problem is solved.
Okay I will try that and see what happens. I will say that there is around 5 gallons in there right now, roughly 30% of the total capacity. Even if it fixes the issue, I am still a little concerned that this issue happens at all at a point where the tank isn’t even very close to being empty.
I hope that’s the problem.
I just replaced on my car THROTTLE BODY it has electronic accelerator
Im lucky for the fact my car gave error codes so was easy for me to fix problem.
What the part looks like have pic not sure what yours is like.

Symptoms were car would stall after driving for 20min or accelerating hard.
Got worse with time I left it for couple months was driving car like that till now.
Now car would start them stall after 5 or 10min would not start cause butterfly
Staying closed i just replaced throttle body, car is perfect now.
Good luck
