From what I can gather, you need to cut out quite a large piece of the surrounding metal before you start welding in the new stuff.
Also, I’m not sure that a racing car with a station wagon as its platform can beat the MX-5’s, RX-7’s, 911’s etc. that are out there. I mean I’m not saying, I’m just saying 🙂

If you’re doing up your daily driver then replacing is probably the way to go.
But if you’ve got a project car and it’s a lot of work anyway, I can easily see a lot of people wanting to rebuild some parts just for the sake of rebuilding, and not really caring about it being cost effective. A learning experience, making the car really yours, and all that stuff. If you’re doing up your daily driver then replacing is probably the way to go.

It would be interesting to see how they differ from the automatics.

I heard it, no idea what it could be though.

[quote=”Plasmide56″ post=50231]I found the repair manual for your Seat Toledo 1998. I have a download link for you.

Edit: for the record, I’ve found several manuals for my car, it’s just that they’re all in Russian or Polish.

The only one there for my car, a 1998 Seat Toledo, was in French, and for the diesel versions 🙂
If I recall correctly, Volkswagen, who own Seat, have removed my particular model from their own database, called Elsawin, so I can’t even get the data there. It’s okay though, I’ve already given up on finding one.edit: that second link looks like it might be something. I’ll look into it, thanks.
edit2: they don’t really look like a legitimate operator, has anyone bought from them in the past?

It’s kind of funny, but also kind of sad that none of those sites have repair manuals for Seat cars. And when I do find manuals for the right make elsewhere, they’re never for the right model and year.
