I think this is one of the things that Kubrick was trying to say in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Beyond a certain point, relying too much on technology has its issues.

              That’s a very good point …..Dave

I wonder how many of Tesla’s self drive cars have crashed , compared to the crashes down to human error .

I think if you cared even a little you’d get everything from a safety sticker to insurance , it’s your life and family at stake , not to mention other road users .

They are quite stringent in NZ with inspections , and police can pink sticker a car they deem unfit for road use , effectively ordering it off he road until it gets a legal inspection sticker

I don’t know where you call home, but in Canada, nobody inspects your vehicle when you register or insure it. Simple face-to-face exchange of info across a desk or counter.
I’m in New Zealand , where cars must have an inspection sticker and be registered , failure to do so is a hefty fine for both .

Just give it a polish , porting it will give the problems outlined above , and if can find find that has been ported to suit your car the PCM will play up , and you may find your transmission won’t shift quite as good .

If you are worried , change the oil to fully synthetic
