Thanks for the response, but I’m talking about the part below the intake manifold–the part that the intake manifold in the diagram bolts into. The top comes out with no problem.

I’m with you–It would be a crap design to have to pull a head to change a gasket, but I’m hoping to get some confirmation that it’s possible to get a wrench on all the fasteners while keeping the heads in place.
