Mine has dual climate as well. I assume this only works for the heat and ac though. But you never know. I’m going to fiddle with it this morning and see what I can gather.

Well, I had to find the nearest station to work because I was riding on E lol! I just used one of the 2 main stations I always use. It was the first fill up in my new truck!

I have used Techron in the past to help clean things up. I usually add it when I change the oil. I am going to check around town and see who has top tier gas and how the price compares to what I am usually using.

But is it necessary? My problem is there are only a couple stations in that list in my town and none are near me at all, LOL!

Thanks! It has the 5.3L V8.

This is what I did; I smeared RTV on the shafts and seated the grommet to the end. Then I smeared some on the outside of the grommet and some on the valve cover when it seats. I then pressed it down into the hole and held the bolt up with a pin. All this was done after I cleaned the surfaces with alcohol.

I also sealed up the filler neck.

I figure it won’t be any worse than it was before. I will certainly update with results down the line.

AH, I see. What I meant to say was could I use the RTV on the old grommets.

I assume you are referring to installing new grommets?
