If it were me, i’d go for the f250, however, i’d be stressing myself out over the fuel economy. Hauling landscaping equipment and supplies into a small car is a pain in the ass, at least you’ll be getting a lot of use out of the truck.
There’s quite a few of us here. Celtic is a way of life for me and have been following them for years now. Going to philly
Endurance racing like Le Mans. I love the prototype cars and the idea of it all.
My username illustrates my love for Celtic FC, a soccer club in Scotland. I’m half Irish and Celtic FC was founded by the Irish in Glasgow. I’ve been a supporter for many years.
Nothing a bit of crazy glue won’t do!
4 hours to do a timing belt/water pump change on an 88 crx seems a bit long to me, but that’s just me, I could be wrong, that may be standard. Defintely agree with looking to do the spark plugs, wires, distributor yourself. That will save you a lot of money.
Inherited a used air compressor which is really great. Going to buy a 3 ton floor jack that has a maximum height of 20″ off a friend of mine who’s moving. Much better than my 2 ton 13.5″ max height jack.
Also, going to make a trip across the border to HFT to purchase a breaker bar and serpentine belt set.
I usually go to the wrecker yard or lordco. Come october i’ll have an extra 30% discount at Lordco.
I’m very happy with my 1994 Mazda 323/Familia/Protege, whatever you call it. Bought it for 1300 with 160,000 KM’s on it, gets about 450-500 KM’s a tank of city driving, cheap and easy to work on. You also can’t go wrong with a Toyota Corolla. Last forever, great mileage, and again, cheap and easy to work on.
This sounds like a load of shite to me. He bent the valve, didn’t actually repair the head or the problem, and is charging you 2500 and you’re getting the old damaged head back? Rick is right. Either he puts the new head on or go to small claims court.

1988 Toyota Tercel, broke 3 out of the 4 bolts holding the carb to the intake manifold…. my neighbor’s kids aren’t allowed to go outside anymore when i’m working on my cars…
Well, my mom bought a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder and I was the principle driver, but the first car that I bought with my own money was my 1994 Mazda 323, which I still have. I just bought it a few months ago for $1300. Amazing shape, only 165,000 km’s on it.
