I am guessing this is a 90 to 93 Honda Accord? Which model?

Thats one of the things that make Hondas of 92-95, and 96-00 so fun to work on. You can mix and match car parts.

Just guessing. Faulty solenoid?

In the video, you mentioned a bidirectional scan tool. Is there a bidrectional scan tool that you would recomend for 96-00 Civics?
Thanks

Have a question about the automotive field.
Used to work IT. Now all those jobs are gone in our small town. One thing I notice. Employers wanted you to have all the paper work, knollage, and experience, and know everything. Then when you get hired, the employer who knows nothing about your field starts telling you how they want it done. Often, they would be text book school 101 things not to do, but the employer would insist in doing it that way. Then when they get in trouble because things don’t work out. They blame the staff, who told them not to do that in the first place.Dose that stuff go on in the automotive field. For example, maybe on the first day of school, they told you for this repair you must use xyz part or tool, or the job will fail in 30 days. Then your employer tells you to do it their way, just to have the job fail in 30 days. Then insists it must be the techs who messed up the job?
Always wondered why the employer insisted in all this education, but then will not listen to those who have it.

What motor do you have?
I would try and find some local Honda guys, and see if they would let you try one of their distributors.
