You should keep this all in one thread. It avoids people keep asking you the same questions over again. I will now need to go over your old threads to see what is going on.

Was the car running correctly last week, and just started doing this? Or are you just now putting the y8 parts on your y7 and having troulbe?

Should set the timing with a timing light.
The marks are just to make sure things are lined up correct. Timing is mostely at the distributor. The old belts where most likely streatched a little, and the new belts are a little tight. I only work on 90 through 93 Accords, so I am guessing it is the same for 95’s.

If it where me, I would use the block from the d16y7, and the top half of the d16y8. Lot of people spend money converting the d16y7 to y8 that way, and you have all the parts to do it. Called a mini-me swap. The ECU for the y8 and y7 are different. Also, you need to check your wire harness to see if the pins are different. If your going to leave your motor as a y7, you should put the y7 ecu in. But still need to make sure the harness pins are the same.

Have a 99 Civic, so it should be the same as mine. (96-00) My obd connector is on the driver side, just to the right, and up, from the hood latch. You can goto most auto parts stores, and they will read the code for free (and help you find the connector).
So heres the deal, i just had the check engine light turn on. It turns out it was the p0420 code, which i beleive is the cat converter. My question is where can i buy one ASAP because it makes a horrible rattle noise and well its my only car. Thank yall very much chicos. Will a magnaflow94104 fit my Honda Civic? :S
Look at your exhaust header. Most likely your cat on that model is right there. And that’s why it cracked. So you most likely need a header + cat. If it where me, I would relocate the cat to under the car, and put a nice header in. The cat + header is expensive, and most likely will break again. It was a poor design.

Have noticed about a 1 mile a gallon differnce when using 4 ounces in a full tank. I am on a quest to get 400 miles on a tank of gas in my 99 Civic. Will have to do some research to see if anyone has tried putting mineral oil in their gas tank. Think my bump in mileage is do to my fuel injectors, and fuel pump, working smoother. I can not hear my fuel pump come on.
