From the looks of it, it could have a “misfire” or two. Maybe some valve overlap causing a rough idle.

What vehicle are we dealing with here in question?

Usually if you put in a notice down here you get canned that moment. But on one instance my last employer didn’t want to see me go and didn’t believe I was leaving until I rolled my toolbox out of there. Couldn’t pass it up for more money and better opportunity.

No dipstick. There is a little access hole/plug whatever you want to call it in the front cover or the trans. If your manly enough it can be twisted off by had. Or has an insertion for a 3/8 ratchet. Start, allow to come to operating temp. In park or neutral you want a very drippy stream coming out. That’s your level check. Your covered till 100 but we teccomended every 30 to flush when I was with Kia.

Did you change wires Also?
I would do a leak down test as well depending on what the compression looks like. I’m betting worn valve seats.

Guy at work just bought a solus edge. I’m doing an nox sensor on a bus tomorrow so I’ll borrow it and see if it will command the regen. If it does I may go ahead and do the update. I still would really like to find someone with the AE software and play with it locally.

When we get a tow in no start I usually bring three things with me. My jump box, a can of throttle body cleaner and a long pry bar to bang the starter with lol. If neither work it gets pushed into my bay. Sometimes when the solenoid is stuck they just need a little “help”. 🙂
Glad it was simple!

Good for you sir. Keep me in the loop. I’d be interested in hearing how things pan out.
My last dealer which was a Mazda/Kia the manager promised the world yada yada yada, we have the #1 Mazda tech in the world type thing. Which is true mark won the world technician comp for Mazda. But anyway I got in there things were great for a few months then I was able to pick out things that were horrible with management. He was money hungry, didn’t care about his employees. Could care less about shop equipment. I got out of there about 8 months ago and jumped ship to the gm dealer everyone had talked trash about when I was still there.
That decision has been one of the best career decisions I have ever made. Don’t be afraid of big things like that. I hate bouncing around but I’m now in a place with a great atmosphere as a whole and totally happy to walk into work every day.

This may sound dumb but rereading your first post have you checked all your fuses? You say before the battery replacement it the starter spun the car over just fine yes?

If you decide to have the filter replaced save the money and do it yourself. You can have it done in around an hour and a half with a few beers on the ground for the average diy person.
Did you have the tires rotated? We have many customers with worn tires come back after a lof/rotate complaining about a noise. And usually it turns out after the rotate the tires start roaring. The GMT silverados are bad about the front caster/camber being out…..or we just have horrible drivers down here lol.

I do not have any experience with supertech but last I had heard I believe it is rebottled valvoline.

Do you have a meter or test light? If so check and make sure you are getting your battery voltage down there. And also check into voltage drop. Sounds like the possibility of a bad starter to me. Find something to tap on the starter solenoid with. And see if she’ll turn over.
No theft light flashing while trying to crank?

That blows. Literally. And worst thing about it is you weren’t even the one that smoked the motor. Get it back together and turn the boost up this time!
