My 87 Camaro has a Rochester quadrajet the electronic feedback one. I am planing a trip to Ohio to visit family near the end of next summer. I could make a day trip out to the shop. only problem is that would probley burn 2 tanks of gas getting there and back LOL.

I have 2 reliable POS cars. One is a 1999 Saturn SC1. It needed some work before I got it (sat at my dad’s house for 3 years) We had to replace the wheel cylinders, shoes, drum springs, front pads, Intake manifold gasket, and TPS. Then I got it replaced the battery, motor mount, and changed the oil. I started driving it in March, and it has never missed a beat. my other RPOS is a 1987 Camaro. I have had this car for 13 years got it when I was 17, and it has never left me stranded. Most recently I have rebuilt the steering system from the intermediate shaft to the tie rods. Rebuilt the carburetor, replaced the rear shocks, replaced the front pads, rotors, and bearings. Now it needs the u joints replaced. I will never give my Camaro up I will die with this car.

This is my Matco 4s triple bay I got off the truck 2 months ago. I had a Snap-On KRL-722 before this one. I voluntarily gave it up cause I got sick and tired of the Snap-On man’s unreliability to show up to the shop every week then demand a double or triple payment when he would finally show up. I gave up the snappy on friday and worked out of a Harbor freight roll cart till Monday when the Matco man came. I needed a box ASAP and he only had 2 in stock this one for $4,500 and a 6s double bay for $9,000. The choice was easy. I will say Matco makes a hell of a lot better box than Snap-On ever will.

Well my 87 Camaro needs new u joints, and I need to find out why it will run at normal temp at speeds below 60, but get hotter when speed increases. Doesn’t overheat just gets a little hotter than normal. As far as My 99 Saturn SC1 I need to change the coolant, change the fuel filter, and other general preventive service to it. I am really starting to fall in love with this Saturn. I have had it since March and it has never missed a beat. After sitting for almost 3 years all I did was change the oil, put a new set of tires, and replaced the motor mount that is it.

I’m thinking you might have a bad wheel bearing. Drive the car and in a safe place swerve left and right, and see it it comes and goes or changes. it should get louder when you go left and quieter if you go right if that bearing is bad

we had a busy day last week I was working on 4 cars at once, and forgot a nice pair of matco pliers under the hood of a Camry. Didn’t realize it till i was putting my tools away after the last car. She is a regular customer, so i hope they are still there when she comes back.
