attached a video. this time i noticed that the noise is more audible coming from the right (passenger) side of the vehicle. now, i dont know if this is becuase the presumably unrelated ticking noise is coming from the left and masking it. the video i took here captures the noise as i was standing at the rear passenger side of the vehicle. I still cant 100% say if its coming from the back or front, near the front it now sounds more metally, while in the back it sounds more thumpy.
I dont have any codes, but i did notice the “service engine soon” light came on while i was filming this video. i dont have a code reader but i can go to the store and buy one tomorrow and see if anything comes up.
thanks for your help
*edit: i filmed the noise from the back because near the ticking engine noise covers up the sound too much if filmed from the front.

Yes, sorry, the temperature is good, just under the halfway mark, more towards the cool side.
The engine mounts cost about 500 between the two of them, so i dont think they were cheap, although i cant recall what brand they were.
I also smelled the dipstick that goes into the transmission fluid, and it doesnt smell burned.
I actually rechecked my idle RPM, and it looks to be a little under 1000, kind of between the 500 and 1000, so i think my RPM is actually accurate.
I just noticed that the car is making a sort of squeaking noise that can be heard from the back wheels. I got the noise on video, but i am having trouble uploading them. hopefully i can get them up before the end of the day.

Yes, the car is an automatic.
What do you mean by “does the car come up to temp”?
Car has 136766 miles on it.
I cant see the video, could you post a link please?
Thanks again.

Yeah, that would make sense, since i do hear some banging from under the car towards the back, as well as from the front.
However, i had the engine mounts replaced last summer, and this banging only just started now.Yeah, that would make sense, since i do hear some banging from under the car towards the back, as well as from the front.

Is 1000 Rpm idle out of range?
I have not cleaned or unplugged the throttle body. How do i go about doing that?
I have also not checked for vacuum leaks, how do i do that?
Sorry if I sound needy, i am pretty new at this DIY thing.
Thanks for all the help so far.

idle is around 1000 rpm, and i will try to get a video tomorrow, as it is already dark outside.
just to be clear, the hard shifting was solved when i got the engine mounts replaced. the hard movement only occurs when i start the car, the shift from park to drive is smooth.
I have not checked the transmission mounts, how would they cause the shaking on car start up? the shaking when shifting gears was solved when i had the engine mounts replaced.
