Its gone to a reputable shop. There are quite a few issues I can track down wqith my limited equipment. But to answer your question yes it can pull tranny codes but the live data is leaving a lot to be desired.
It is a OBD2 16 pin connector and it has battery voltage @ #16 pin. OBD1 was a 12 pin with no power supply.
Attachments:It has the 16 pin connector with power on the #16 pin. OBD1 12 pin.didnt have power at all. it is the cross over year. late in the year they started with it
I checked the fuse and I have 12 volts on #16 pin. Buick tech told me there was a special adapter for this year to allow reading codes and regular scanner wont do it without adapter.
