I had a 95 chevy lumina that i was replacing the front shocks on. These cars have cartridges that can be replaced on the vehicle while on the ground, well i did it the way i supposed to except one thing…. I forgot to torque down the shock spindle nut it was on there finger tight! Needless to say the place i took it to to check the alignment wasnt happy when they lifted the vehicle and the shocks blow out through the bottom of the strut tower. Oppps , I blamed on my “mechanic” hahahaha. Cost me five hundred in the end

I go to a place that supplies auto shops in my area. Its low key and they always have super low prices. I do go O’riely’s or Autozone too.

ok everybody here’s the update. The noise is gone, it happened to be the passenger side, not the side i had done the line and cylinder. I still get the smell, maybe from something on the drum idk. But anyway I was shown that the way to adjust the drums is the put the wheel back on and and adjust them until u get one wheel rotation. Is this the correct way or is that way to tight. Any suggestions for future refence would be much appreciated. Thanks to all who have helped

It only the one side, the one where i did the line. And to answer your question no it didn’t do it before. I m wondering if I got a bad drum. I noticed today as i got home that i smell a burning smell on that side, even though it was throughly cleaned .
