I have a 88 Suburban with 350tbi when I am in park and I rev the throttle and then release it, it pops and grumbles out the tail pipe. Any suggestions on what it may be?
I have worked on several of this model year Suburban …. a slightly clogged injector may be your problem. Very common for that model year. try using some injector cleaner see if that helps.
My main top water hose burst. I replaced it. Car ran hot. Replaced the thermastat, coolant sensor, and 12 volt relay fuses for primary and secondary fans. Still ran hot. Fans not coming on. I tested fans in service mode by paper clip to F and G in the diagnostic scan box. Fans came on, so no blowed motors. Got desperate, so ran a toggle switch to primary fan, so fan would run while I drive. Still, when the car gets hot, after about 5 miles of regular driving, the car huckabucks, and cuts off at slow downs and stops. Really bad in the middle of light intersections. Can anyone help?
When you changed your hose and refilled the coolant are you sure you got all the air out of the system?
a vapor locked radiator can produce the symptoms your having.
My main top water hose burst. I replaced it. Car ran hot. The wheel lock thing ….yeah that one gets to me ..but as a shop owner my biggest one is when a customer come in and say’s I need ” Blah blah blah” done and you give them an estimate. They say sure fix it… Then They come back and act like there surprised by what the bill is. Then try to talk you down on the price.
Sorry that’s the price you agreed to and you signed at the bottom of the estimate saying for us to do the work. You put you “John Hancock” on the line that says the vehicle don’t leave until it is paid in full. Now you want to try to bargain with me.
