Thanks I could have done some accidental damage.

ok sooooo update!!!!!
Problem still persists but ive narrowed it down to what I believe to be only a few things. Ive never messed with the fuel injector for cylinder #1. Im gonna swap it to the cylinder #3 which would be the same side but the middle cylinder.
I also ran into something weird. While coasting downhill (foot not on throttle) i experience a blinking engine light. but as soon as i got to the bottom of the hill and gave it more throttle it seemed to be fine. I never felt any unnecessary vibrations or anything. The codes are still just a p0300 and p0301. I think im gonna see if any of the belt pulleys or the belt could be causing the random misfire. Im also gonna pay to have it professionally diagnosed. Apparently I cant find the problem. 🙁ok sooooo update!!!!!

He said he was able to see the crank position sensor working part of the time. He said he was able to see this on his scan tool while he was driving. There is only one thing i dont understand. If the sensor is only working some of the time, why is it not showing a circuit problem? any ideas?

As you can tell I am having a bit of a problem with this misfire condition. What you explained is exactly what is happening to me. When the engine has been driven for a while thats when it misfires. I dont drive more than 5 miles a day. So the engine doesnt have a chance to really get “hot” although by the time I reach my destination my temp gauge will register the normal temp. I took it for a “drive” today and drove about 20ish miles. The vehicle will do exactly what you stated but if I turn the vehicle off and back on while it is hot thats when the misfire light comes on. Im at my wits end trying to find this problem. How exactly do I do a load test on a coil pack? Is it possible to do it to all six with out the vehicle on? Also I never can feel the misfire… its just a code and a flashing engine light. Sometimes it will do it while climbing a hill. Today on my drive I got a p0303 on cylinder 3 before I got the p0300.:pinch: everyones input is very much appreciated.

Ok. This is gonna sound weird but I am about to compare your car to a go-cart. Im not trying to be funny. I had a go-cart that did the exact same thing. When you would try to go before it warmed up a little it would almost stall. Now by this point your probably lauging but seriously. You mentioned it has 180,000 miles on it. Have you changed the fuel filter? The float in the gocart was sticking so maybe you have a fuel delivery restriction… Im no mechanic i just know only a little bit.

how exactly do you “know” its a clogged converter? Im just saying it could be something else. I think you should first test it then if it is bad just try fixing it. Those things are too expensive to just cut out and throw away.

also have you checked your battery power level?

a cranking engine with no start but fuel and an ignition source??? Hmmm. I doubt it is a bad vacuum line but im not an expert. coils or a coil? are your wires hooked up correctly? and are they going to the correct cylinders?
