What is stripped the male or female threads? If one side is good then say which is good and which is bad or if both threads are bad.

Next I would look at oil pressure switch. It could be what caused light to flash. Normally it will leak oil faster under higher RPMS so if possible look at it with engine reved up (this switch is located center of engine above oil filer). I am not aware of honda having trouble with this switch but chevy its VERY common. Its very hard sometimes to see this part leak so look really good. Keep me informed. Good Luck

This is the small Lowes/Kobalt set that is really handy as it has shallow and deep well sae/metric sockets.

I have not seen the video and am not saying you installed valve cover gasket wrong but this is how I have did 2 cars (one car guy was told engine was blown) and both cars I had good results.
            1. I cleaned everything good.
            2. I only put RTV on corners where head mates with rocker arm assembly.
            3. I waited for RTV to slightly harder maybe 5 minutes before insalling.
Try to clean around the gasket really good any maybe take a LED Light and inspection mirror to see if the valve cover gasket is problem.

Trying to recall from memory you are to only use sealant at certain location of valve cover gasket……..so I guess the question is where did you put sealant?

I recently purchased old snap on tools from a retired mechanic. Found them on CL then looed at them in person already knowing what new would cost. I am more than happy to have some old quality tools now. With that being said I purchaseda small metric/standard set of kobalt tools from lowes for about $60 and so far I am happy. Good Luck

Did you use RTV when replacing valve cover gasket? Did you torque bolts on valve cover?

This was a Honda stuck in gear. Transmission was stuck in 3rd gear I think. Once I open up transmission gears were chewed up.

Maybe tell us where you are from or look at other people profile and ask them for a estimate for repair. Atleast if someone from here does repair we would hope they are honest. Good Luck

I did a honda recently and had a lot of air in the system. I pulled a vaccum with hand pump while bleeding and with a helper took about a hour to get all the air out.

I will not talk about thermostat possibly causing/no causing issue. I do have a 96 F150 4X4 5.8 engine. Give more details on stailing and hard to start.

I could not find what it should be on any diagram I have. Just wanted so say I looked. Keep me posted as I am very curious about electrical because its something I want to be better at.

Provide me with as much info as possible and I will look in my data base. If you know wire color (any stripes) you know pin number from computer, car info such as model, engine, anything at all that could possibly used on a wiring diagram. I am more mechanical than electrical. Also if you have a pick a part yard near you……..carry a jumpstart for power then probe wires on car in junkyard.

I understand but after removing/installing alternator 4 times mine was a ground issue so just though it was worth sharing.
