I think the maintenance schedule for alignments is once a year. I usually say the best time is when you get new tires, but if everything else checks out an alignment is usually not needed.
Only 50 hour weeks, Man you are getting off easy Chevyman. Harvest season is starting here and I will be lucky to get less that 60 hours a week. And my Arthritis is getting worse to the point I have to have others pick things up for me. I get done with work go home and collapse on the couch.
It could also be the right wheel bearing.
When you say it only makes noise when going straight or turning one way I think wheel bearing.
Ceramic pads are bad because they do not hold up to the heat, they tend to crack and fall off
Ceramic pads also tend to glaze over requiring removal and re-surfacingI am surprised that no one here has mentioned Dill or Ascot for pressure gauges, that is all we use at work. Dill is made in U.S.A.
I don’t hate Fords just the Taurus. From my years of working on them I have started to like them less every time one comes in.
You didn’t hurt anything, the bursting pressure for most car tires is 120 psi
Secondly you most likely do not need 40 or 44 psi in the tire the pressure needed is on the door jam or door frame. Likely in the 30’s
What you are reading is the max psi that the tire can hold , not what it is supposed to operate at.This is the best modification for a Taurus that I can think of
How about a big cubic inch V-8 in the back gulping methanol and some monster truck tires to show others in your area who’s boss
You are forgetting that the local shops do not keep inventory levels even close to what a warehouse store can do. When buying in bulk it is significantly less, so when a local shop gets parts it costs them more to buy the parts than Amazon or Rock Auto. Parts markup is one of the only places to make money, We do try to keep the markup as low as possible.
