      if you’ve checked the coil packs And they are all fine And check the spark plugs maybe change that for new ones. the next step is a compression test which eric has a link for how to do thisboth have a good look around for any vacuum leaks

          you might be able to have the head skimmed. they will probably need to take a lot off.and you might not be able to have the head skimmed again HOPE THEY CAN DO IT FOR YOU

                  I think you’re doing right by staying away from BMWs that all ok to work on up to 2006 but then they went to being really painful to work on and from 2009 in the UK they started having problems with fuel injectionand it was caused by the ECU it was mainly on the 5 series VW’s of a good engine to Work

                      with not being able to see the engine you need to see if it has a cam sensor fitted I think that’s where the problem lies if it does have One you can test It with a Analogue multimeter not a digital One hope this helps let me know how you got On

                          you will have to excuse Me when you use the word gas do you mean petrol?have you had a conversation to gas and if yes they have a diaphragm that goes hard and needs to be replace. but I know someone who works for Toyota I will ask him today

                              it sounds like the cams are out of position slightly so you need to have the timeing checked. on your probably find you need a cambelt just because of the mileage is low doesn’t mean it doesn’t need a cambelt it is a 2006 I did one about 12 months ago
