Is there a diagnostic scan tool that would give good data regarding injectors, etc… that could be purchased for about the same price as paying to have a scan done?

Looked into it some more tonight and checked for vacuum leaks around hoses, plenum, injectors, etc.. and didn’t turn up anything.

I think the next steps are to run some fuel injector cleaner through, and then have someone run a car diagnostic on it to pinpoint the cause of the random misfire?

What would a clicking from the EGR valve mean? Anything?

Yep, I used the AC Delco plugs and wires.

I don’t have any experience doing a coolant flush, but would like to try. Could I get step by step instructions on how to perform a coolant flush on the 03 Chevy Malibu?

                      Do I do the following?
                      1. Drain the coolant from the radiator.
                      2. Refill with water? Do I refill via the reservoir?
                      3. Let car run til hot
                      4. Drain
                      5. Refill with coolant? What type should I use?

It’s a 1998. I can’t say for sure if it’s plastic or not since the car is out-of-state currently. It’s the original engine.
