I dont quite understand it myself. For starters the copied key (which came with the car) has the same keyring hole. Why did they say they wont touch it? The recall eould of worked for it too. And if anyone knows please do tell… How would modifying the key do anything? How could a ignition that is on the dash get “bumped” from run position?

Yes and no. The only free site you can use will only tell you if a vehicle had a totaled or salvaged title

Cool thanks for the Info. That is actually quite interesting. Here in the state of Minnesota you have 10 days grace period. For example if you have the Registration month of June, you can buy your registration as early as April and as late as July 10th. Also another unique thing with the state of MN is that every motorcycle or trailer registered in the state ALWAYS and ONLY expire in Feburary. This is the case regardless of the month in which you actually register the trailer or bike. I have noticed (but don’t know if it ever veries) that vehicles that have higher weight classes (such as work trucks like boom trucks, Dualie trucks, 1-ton or higher) have not only special MN plates with a Weight Class sticker on the plate (7 characters on the plate instead of 6) also seem to always expire in FEB however I can only verify this on a Dualie truck with a Weight-Class of “G”.

I personally never trust Dealer’s unless it is for recalls. In my experience when it comes to “warranty” work the dealer claims that the work is not covered under warranty (such case with my Lanos) and charge for it anyways. Dealers also charge you 2x-4x the cost the price to do repairs than a independant shop. If I cannot do it myself I will take it to whoever will do it the cheapest. I am not at all a picky person, If I take a car to a shop to fix it and they do a half-ass job I wouldn’t even care mainly because if I was able to do it myself I would 9 times outta 10 half-ass it myself. Long as it works that’s all I care about

Damn. Do motor “cicles” have horns? Did you say some choice words?

I know of two shops in my area that not only accept bringing your own parts they encourage it. They are not just repair shops they are also a body shop and fabrication shop. Because it appears the repair is one of their services rather than their primary thing the Labor costs are relitivly extremely low.
