Quoted From EricTheCarGuy:
On a vehicle of that age I don’t think it would be worth it, most times you could put on almost 3 steel exhausts for one stainless exhaust.
I just did a video on this, sort of.
Well, that depends on your point of view…have i the money to buy a newer car now or even in the foreseeable future? No.
Does my car work okay, despite it’s age, and do i plan to keep it at least a couple of years more? Yes.So my question is really this: do you get any damaging sideeffects when you put a stainless exhaust with a regular steel exhaust, already on the car and in no need of replacing?

The problem with mixing stainless with steel you will get
electrolysis of two dissimilar metals. if your going to go from
the cat back. Then you should be ok. Its when you mix and
match. one will react with the other.Exactly, its from the catalyst and back…so that should be okay then?
Good to know!I knew i should have started a similar thread when i thought of it, but hey: the important thing is that it gets started at all. π
Anyway, music has since i turned 13 meant a great deal to me. I’m from Sweden and in my youth the only places i could hear new music was from friends – and i lived in the countryside so that wasn’t much of an option if you didn’t want to ride a bike long ways – from scouring record stores – and as i only was 13, so that wasn’t an option either – or finally: the radio!
Radio in Sweden in the early 80s wasn’t that bad actually, but since we only had one channel to fit all music, there were only like half hour shows once a week so my trusty tapedeck got a lot of use. πAnyway, i have always felt grounded in this experience and think that is why i appreciate so much different music: i like everything from singer/songwriters like Josh Rouse, Amos Lee to real fast old hardcore like Minor Threat to pop to punk to…you get the picture.
One band though that’s always been with me and probably always will is The Ramones, as my nick probably hints of.They were one of the greatest, not only for the pioneering music they wrote, but also for all the influences you can trace from it.
Joey – who always have a special place in my heart – was the romantic, that loved all that 60s pop and wrote quite a few songs that would have done well if released in 1965…and possibly been produced differently. πListen to this, one of my favourites that never even got an official release cause Johnny, the dictator in the band, hated it since it was just a simple popsong…and thats why i love it: Ramones – S.L.U.G.

Or maybe one of there greatest lovesongs? Danny says: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Aerah72IEII love bands that when you dig just a little deeper and cast away all your beliefs find…pretty melodies.
Misfits was one of those bands and thats why the went that big: deep down there was brilliant melodies but of course, they had one of the best voices at the time: Glenn Danzig. πBut then on the other hand, i always liked music that was a little…off.
Fad Gadget – Love Parasite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yEYV3ohJu4
The Normal – Warm Leatherette: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5QErPDNcj4
Spit For Athena – Afraid of me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8caEGBETcec
Tom Waits – Underground: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciBAMhLiwyQHrm…well i think i should quit while i’m ahead, so to speak. I could go on a couple of days with this otherwise. π

You mean like Tapatalk? So it’s easier to read on the cellphone?
My homeforum went another way for some unknown reason, but it works great…except that the Back-button does’nt work as you’re used to – it throws you all the way back to the startpage instead of you know…backing? πIt’s in swedish but you can at least see how it works: https://www.flashback.org/m/
If this is better than Tapatalk, i actually don’t know but our technicians do things their own way.

That one should absolutely be posted in the repair section, as in “If you don’t, this will happen!” π

Agreed. The current subscribe button is counter intuitive. But you can still subscribe to any topics by clicking the “Subscribe” button on the starting topic of the thread. Let me know if that is what you were talking about, or if I missed the boat completely…it’s been a LONG week I:|
Also, when you get a moment, subscribe to this thread http://www.ericthecarguy.com/forum/topics.aspx?ID=132 it is where I will be posting updates/bug fixes/general site changes based on all of your recommendations.
Yeah, thats what i’m talking about but even more userfriendly is a button somewhere that says “My subscriptions” or whatever you want to call: in effect a button that only leads to your subscribed threads.
That is by far the thing i miss the most in any forum that doesn’t have it since it makes life so much easier and yes, i know there is a way to find it here too but that feels kinda buried: click the dashboard twice and then scroll down to find my threads…so please Sir, gimme a button! πWhat i really miss is the option to subscribe to threads i have either written in or just choosed to subscribe to.
It’s not really a problem yet, but when ALL the fans have found the forum it can be a bit much. W;) - AuthorReplies
