Thank you! I was coming to the same conclusion about the clutch also. Actually I forgot to mention earlier that I have replaced all four hubs and bearings already. I’ve done so much to this car that sometimes I forget what I have already done, although trying to get the bearings out of the steering knuckle was quite a challenge, without a machine shop. I can’t believe I forgot about that! 🙂

Hi, I have the same problem on my 96 Ford Contour 2.0 GL (ztech). I thought I might get some pointers from the diagram on your post, but I can’t access the diagram, and I don’t know if it would apply to my vehicle. My fuses are good, and no check engine light is on. What do you think?

I have a 1996 Contour, which I bought on Craigslist for $500.00, and is my daily driver, I have been watching these FiF videos for tips on what to do, so thanks for this series. I am getting a lot out of it. 🙂
