The diesel idea is pretty cool, Volvo as well. Im sure whatever you choose will make for some great videos. Selfishly I would suggest a 1st Gen Honda CRV. Both my wife and I drive one (’00 and ’01) so Id be all over them videos. I know some others might be tired of the Hondas but heck… there so freaking popular, so it would be helpful for ALOT of people. Your already very familiar with them Im sure. Lots of modifications you could do.
Your budget would be plenty to find a nice one, might even leave you with some cash for repairs/modifications. I think you’d enjoy one with a 5 speed… like this:

Found this one after the original post. Think its nicer. Could talk him down Im sure, but youd have to make the trip to cbus.
Hi Eric. Just wanted to follow up on the question you answered for me, regarding the timing belt on the CRV. Took it to the dealership that did the work and it looks like the tension just needed adjusted because it was a little loose. Seems to have gotten rid of the noise we were hearing. Thanks for answering my question and I hope you have a good weekend. As always… looking forward to your next video!

+1 on this video suggestion. Been thinking about doing this with my CRV.

Great video man. Love to watch tool reviews. Whatcha think you’ll be doing next?
Im currently in the market for a good torque wrench and would love to watch a review on some of those… not sure if that would please the masses however.
