If you update your profile with your location a little home icon will show up under your avatar and you can hover the mouse over it to see where people are located.

Im kind of embarrassed to report, it was just the heat shield. :blush:
This is a car I bought just a few months ago and it already had a clamp around the front part of the cat and it was on there pretty tight. When I hit on it I didnt notice any rattling or anything so I figured it was something else. I got under there today and put another clamp around the other side of the cat and took it for a test drive. No buzzing sound. I guess I should have tried this before posting.

I should probably do this. Do you by any chance know of a local place that carries 3M silicone paste? I dont ever find it anywhere I go. I know lots of places online Im just impatient. 🙂

That was the first thing I checked and it actually already has a clamp on it. Its got some rust on it but it seems like its on there tight and nothing is rattling. I bumped stuff around down there and everything seems pretty solid. Does it make sense that it could be something with the exhaust when it only happens at that specific RPM?

The diesel idea is pretty cool, Volvo as well. Im sure whatever you choose will make for some great videos. Selfishly I would suggest a 1st Gen Honda CRV. Both my wife and I drive one (’00 and ’01) so Id be all over them videos. I know some others might be tired of the Hondas but heck… there so freaking popular, so it would be helpful for ALOT of people. Your already very familiar with them Im sure. Lots of modifications you could do.
Your budget would be plenty to find a nice one, might even leave you with some cash for repairs/modifications. I think you’d enjoy one with a 5 speed… like this:
