Well you definitely cannot go wrong with a Jeep- no matter what year it is!
Eric, I would love to see you get into a pickup truck like you had mentioned. Working on cars is one thing; but then working on a 4×4 truck adds just that much more to it. I would suggest looking for a ZR2 Chevy S10 or GMC Sonoma. Being what I currently own, it’s a decent sized pickup with good hauling capacity. Yet it is not going to park like a bus. Plus having 4-wheel drive is a huge joy to me. It’s amazing what a difference it makes to have all four wheels spinning in low-traction conditions! The ZR2 package also gives you a 2″ factory lift with a wider wheelbase than the stock or 4WD S10s. No it doesn’t have a diesel (which would still be cool). But in my personal opinion these trucks are awesome. Check them out. There are still some out there.
