the person that will replace the brake booster for me is asking for $90, is this a good price?

I had a trusted mechanic look at this problem and he’s telling me it’s the booster/power brake booster. Is this about right then? I mentioned that my pads were new and so are the rotors.
The chirping noises is still present despite washing off the wheel area. When braking it feels as if the brake pads were hitting the metals, as if it was thinning but it isn’t. Sometimes it brakes well but other times not. Is this a booster issue then?

how do I remove the grease? Do I go to the car wash to see if that helps? Do I let it dry out? I think it had rained the past few days. Does the squeaking disappear on its own after a while?

if there is a problem, do I replace only the o2 heater circuit or the sensor as well? I doubt the sensor is bad as I had just changed it about a year ago.

$33 a month must have been $300 a month these days? Maybe not considering a starter home was started at 12 grand huh? How much was gas then?
In college (I graduated in 1970) I traded in a VW bug for a new 1970 Ford Maverick. I don’t remember what the Maverick went for but I had a three year loan and the payments were $33.13 per month.
Back then a very nice three bedroom starter home sold in the 12 to 13 thousand dollar range.
Out of high school in 1964 I had a job and had saved about $1200. On the showroom floor at the Ford dealership was a pumpkin orange Mustang, three speed on the floor with a small V8. Oh, I wanted that car. It still hurts when I think about it.
there’s no fuse box codes to indicate it has anything to do with the o2 sensor but I think I did see an HTR on the fuse box, but not HT1. I’d have to look again. I googled to find out what others have been saying regarding the same codes I got. Someone mentioned something about relays. relays and fuses are in the same box compartment. My car has 2 different locations of the fuse/relay box; one under the hood, the other inside the car near the glove compartment. Should I just check all for blown fuses? I remembered checking all but found no blown fuses before when I already had the check engine light on codes but I never checked the relays so it could not have been a blown fuse. Do relays ever go bad? I never looked into this nor had I ever need to put new relays.
Is there such a thing as a “chart” to tell me what those codes in the fuse box mean? Some of them makes sense like “horn” but others you’d have to guess. LOL.
It may be marked o2 heater or HT1. your best bet is to test power
at the o2 itself. with the key on engine off you should have 12v
look for two wires of the same color. this will be the heater circuit.
there’s no fuse box codes to indicate it has anything to do with the o2 sensor but I think I did see an HTR on the fuse box, but not HT1. What’s the fuse box code for o2 heater circuit?

O2 sensors have fuses? Not sure I see one for it. What could be its code name?
The car has been running fine despite having had the codes for months now. I had the codes resetted or erased. But all codes came back suggesting there’s a problem.
The o2 heater circuits have the power going to them.
