Wanted to update that it was the TFI module off of a spectra 4 month old new distributor. The crank and idle signal and dwell was faulty. Replace module with BWD and had to manipulate the module to keep the truck from dying on me. Would run fine if module was tilted lmao. Returned both items and tried another distributor/module from another store and immediately had the same problem. So I bit the bullet and bought an MSD 8452 distributor and module the truck starts right up and runs like a champ.

do you have the correct pump installed. there is a 19 gal pump and a 16 gal pump? front is 19 and rear can be 16 or 19
