Ya, I have isolated the problem to that, I was more wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to test, or things that have worked in the past.
A new TPS cost money that I don’t really want to spend if it isn’t the problem. The fact that the air flow rate is increased as well when it is revving (see CSV file) means that there isn’t a vauum leak, and it is metered air. I would think the air needs an opening to get in, which leads me to believe it isn’t the TPS. Then again, the TPS could not be completely returning to it’s closed position and it itself is what is keeping the throttle open.
I’m just at a loss, and would like to fix it cheaply, because I will be selling trading in the car shortly and don’t really want to have to explain the problem and how to work with it to the dealer/new owner.
