I took the timing belt apart again and rotated the rear cam an additional turn. I then reassembled everything except the timing belt covers. When I tried to start the car, it still knocked and sputtered out after a few seconds. Did I just destroy my motor?

The engine is a J32A2. What is the ratio of the crank to the cam? Is it 2 to 1? Does it mess up the timing that the rear cam was turned one additional turn more than the front cam? Very disappointed that this job did not work out as planned. Thank for any advice anyone can provide.
