Unfortunately I cant get a picture of the other bolt under the radiator hose without removing it and draining the system again, which I dont have time to do right now. I believe the bolt that i have hightlighted holds the top of the motor on, and thus is not a vent plug. But maybe you will look and say “well thats a stereotypical vent plug right there!”. Like I said, the only other bolt is the one below holding the throttle body coolant feed.
I guess I could bleed it from the coolant temperature sensor which is at the back? what exactly am I bleeding here? the motor? why does it not flow out? some sort of pressure? I removed the thermostat, how did that not relieve the pressure in the motor?

One looks like it holds the engine together on the back, and the other seems to hold a pipe on on the front which cools the throttle body. hmm. Well I put it all back together and did my best. Havent tested for leaks yet. I think it must be the opposite of what you said. The problem i have is that i press the injector into the rail and need to press it quite hard to snap the clip on securing it. Otherwise if i pull it out, the injector is not secured in at all, which i think is the point. and in alot of cases, it will only go on one side and fall off the other side. It seems like it fits over the small lip, but sometimes it falls under it.
From what i read on the internet, it seems like some of these types of clips are rumoured to have been optional and more for factory assembly than anything. I am planning on energizing the fuel pump, once i complete one more repair, and checking for leaks. I think I got most of the clips on, after i bolted the assembly down. But some are a bit crooked.

How safe are you being with all the gas dripping around there? I know mythbusters had a hard time lighting gasoline on fire. Would a fan as a precaution stir up fumes creating a worse fire hazard, or work for venting them?
I get nervous around gasoline. What precautions should one take in your opinion, besides gloves and eye protection?

Yes my dealer service manual should have it I agree. It has lots of recommended values for things, just not injectors. However there are some pages missing from it as well.
i am not having any problems, but i was removing the intake plenum for another issue so I thought I would check them before putting it all back together again. I do suspect some execsive gas consumption issues, so I am going through the list of things to check on that. One of the items was injectors. I do agree that testing a good injector and looking at its resistance would be a good start, if i had a brand new one. Perhaps they will let me test one at the parts store without buying it.

Eric, I love you buddy but I cannot believe you installed a hid kit without projectors. I just watched the RE video, and either 95% of people with hid kids do not have that particular light scattering/blocking shroud that you used, or it does not work as well as you think it does (no offence!!). Personally I have a lot of trouble aiming headlights, so it could be that most people have trouble as well and screw it up, which leads to my bias. Perhaps a professional install as you did is the way to go with these kits.
I have a major pet peeve with people who slap hid kits into normal reflectors. I generally flash my high beams at them as they are generally blinding me, and they deserve nothing less than the same. It may be strictly legal, but so was talking on the phone while driving till people wised up and realized how dangerous that is.
I too would love to have hid projectors. They use less amps, are brighter, and make your car look rich. For the chevy beretta/corsica, you can do a modification where by you take the projectors from an e36 BMW and they are pretty much a drop in replacement for the standard corsica/beretta lights. That is my plan for doing it to my car, however the e36 projectors cost several hundred dollars (plus bulbs and ballasts) and I have not been able to justify the mostly cosmetic expense yet. My reason for mentioning this is that perhaps there is a more creative after market solution that you could use in a similar vein.
In conclusion, I badly want HID. But I would never do it without projectors. I am sorry, its nothing on you, I think you just hit a nerve with a bunch of people and I cant help saying something on it. sorry

Well when I went to canadian tire to get the wheel cylinders, they were having a great sale on monroe shoes and I ended up paying $30 after tax for the set. So I did replace them in the end. I am a sucker for half off sales!
