Thank Eric
Well I checked all the fuses and all was good, I decided to buy a new battery since I could not get the battery to hold a charge, I put the new battery in and lights were on, I turned the key and it killed the battery, I decided to try to re-do the battery cable connecters, i cut the wires back so im using new part of the wires, they were clean so I didn’t waste my time cleaning them, I reconnect the battery and jumped it off my truck and all is good, the whole time it was a bad connection, thank you everyone for all your help, actually learned a lot off this
I had the battery and alternator tested today and the battery came back good, the alternator failed, I put a new alternator in and there is no change, still giving me the same issues, I made a video of what its doing
Also when I turn off the car its completely dead no lights nothing, if the battery is junk why would it read good?
Also the harness melted I had to replace that also
[quote=”ArtTheConfusedGuy” post=164143]Id look at the alternator. If a diode has failed voltage can back feed which will kill the battery but the real killer is ac ripple which is from what I know where the alternator leaks some ac current into the system and that will kill computers and shit.

Thank, so it definitely sounds like a low voltage issue to you?
[quote=”ToyotaKarl” post=164141]Yes, it is possible you need a new battery, or your connections are bad. Low battery voltage can do crazy things. And when you say battery gage, do you mean the voltmeter? What did it read? Also, see if you have any codes… They may just be ghost codes (happen when computer is run on low voltage). It may be a bad voltage regulator/alternator. Would be good to see video of it happening.
Good luck

The battery gage inside the car is on the high side, in the normal but a lot higher then usally, I can take a video of whats going on when I get to work, its going to be tough to get a code, can’t really drive it like this
[quote=”ToyotaKarl” post=164136]I would start by checking the battery and the connections. Low voltage can do all kinds of funky stuff on a computer controlled engine.
Good luck!

So its possible I just need a new battery? I forgot to mention the dummy lights in the cluster were going crazy and the battery gage was on the high side

I am new at this, But I am learning and I like to think I am learning quick
Like right here I am about to learn some thing new 🙂
OBD2? or Pre?

Well its fuel injected the backfire is coming out the exhaust, some time i may give it gas just to try some thing to make it start, and I have never notice it damp no, but a little smell of gas even if it has been sitting

No I updated if you see my last post, I seen your video about clogged heater core I think that may just be my issue
