Sorry for bringing this post back from the dead:

But it appears that it needs to be flushed, however, I am unsure when/if it was flushed before.

I have heard bad stories about flushing a transmission that hasn’t been flushed in a long time. Should I continue on with a flush, should I just drain and refill it once, or should I just leave it?

Yeah, but to my knowledge the coil is in the distributor on this, and we swapped it out and the problem persists.
