yeah the shifts are nice as they should be. the response is that there is barely any response. when i push the pedal in slowly theres barely any rpm change except when it engages into overdrive. theres about a 1-2″ play with not very much response. the rpm gauge drops when it happens. it sounds like it shifts up and the rpms change but theres only four gears to go through so that can’t be it. other than that i just need new tires but that shouldn’t affect that.
its a 3400 sfi v6, the mileage is around 166000 on the engine, the head gaskets were changed already. the coil, wires spark plugs, throttle position sensor, and fuel filter were all replaced. the last pressure test i did was at fifty psi at 700 rpms. when i step hard on the gas, the car shifts perfectly up till third gear where the power is lost usually around 40-45 mph. and occasionally when going into overdrive, the car surges from 2200 rpms to 2500 rpms. if theres anything else that you like to know id gladly give it out cause this problem is really bugging me. Thank you.

i forgot to mention that it is more likely to act up when its warm and the code p0440 is on if that has anything to do with it.
