Took it to a shop who was pretty sure it was the differential/carrier assembly. I’ll be changing it out over the next week or so and keep you guys updated. Thanks for all of the great feedback and help!

        Eric,

I placed a completely new set of rims/tires and the sound unfortunately persisted. Also, can wheel bearings go bad that fast just after 10k miles? There doesn’t seem to be any vibration at all like a typical wheel bearing. As for the diff fluid, I drained and refilled it with the recommended viscosity and the sounds persisted. Can a bad differential/pinion gear still make that humming noise when in neutral/coasting? The sound is only affected by the speed at which i’m traveling.

Here is what i’ll probably do next —
        -Change the rear differential
        -Change the rear wheel bearings

One of the first things I did was swap the tires and change the diff fluid. Sound is still there.
