OK this bugged me so I ran it down. German Auto Salvage was no help and apparently has changed a lot since I Last was in.
The local dealer looked it up for me and it appears the fix is a software update. I think you may have to go into a dealer to have it done. You should ask if there was a recall on this problem before scheduling and paying as the guy I spoke to who was reading the info out loud said recall a couple times.

Good Luck.
I added the edit to my previous post and started looking around for Injectors. The spec Hughes Engines said was I need 21Lb injectors.
I saw on a Dodge forum while I was searching where Dodge had gone form using multiple injectors on the 4,6 and 8 Cyl Magnums to using 23Lb injectors in all of them. So the question is can I or should I just get 23Lb injectors or should I stick with 21Lb since I am not modding the motor.

thanks
I really do need knowledgeable input here. There is nearly nothing about how to choose Injectors online aside from the Dodge forum post I mentioned.

Thank You

barnyeb-http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/downloads/flatfiles.cfm Looks like there is a Zip file you download and unzip to get the list of TSB’s. I did not download it so YMMV.

Teddy here is a site I found. http://www.carsafetyreference.com/volkswagen-jetta-2003/engine-and-engine-cooling/ The citation is the third one listed.
Seems to be a problem related to cooling or the coil as has been mentioned. I had about the same luck as others searching for this TB. When I own VW’s I call German Auto Salvage on 4th ave in Berkeley Ca. Someone there usually knows whats up.
I also agree with Teddy that the dealer should just tell you what the fix is for that TB if you call and ask.

You can go to Autozone and some other auto supply stores and get the code read for free. That way you can know if you can fix it or need to pay a mechanic. Here is a page with Pontiac codes.
http://www.engine-light-help.com/pontiac-check-engine-light.html You can also find auto repair manuals in most public libraries but you can’t check them out.

update
1. There is oil under the butterfly valve on the TB and the level was lower when hot. I figure this means I have the Plenum problem.
2. Tried to get a shop to do the fuel injector sync most did not have the tool, one did but kept asking questions as if wanting to sync it was very unusual. I said nevermind. The dealer wanted $95 to do it. No thanks.
I found this link which I wanted to ask the technicians here if the agreed it was Kosher. The post is by JandJ Auto and describes a manual way to do the fuel injector sync. http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/v6/5461.html

3. I haven’t done the timing chain test yet. I will have to remove the shroud and maybe the fan to be able to get to the crank bolt in a position that I can also see the rotor.

EDIT
I ordered from Hughes Engines
Timing cover gasket Set
V6 Magnum Plenum kit
Timing Chain Tensioner
Timing Chain Set 3 keyways
Magnum Intake Bolts

I want some new injectors (Hughes told me I need 21 LB) and I am hoping someone on here knows of good ones for a reasonable price.

Thanks for that JTF. I am going to get the Fuel Injector Sync tested and then I’ll check the timing chain slop and then I’ll take a look in the TB to see if there is oil puddled up in the corners.

Thank you

Thanks. I’ll see if I can get a shop to check it.
