Thats very odd!! If it was the the coil then it would do it in every cylender…so confused!
yea, by reset tdc just means turn the cams back over to the tdc position for cylender #1…they make a tool that bolts to both of the cams to hold them from turning from the set position…i usualy count the teeth on the belt between the timing marks, and when i put the new belt on, just count the teeth and put it back the exact same way.

i know where it goes, and what it should look like but its gone,,,just a little rubber piece in it splace with the threaded nut on it,,,looks like a valve on a tire

ive ben doing all the checks on it…so im going to the junk yard and pullling patys off good motors to replace all the little odd and end sensors etc, to narrow it a little more, ill keep posted as always, thatks!!

good luck with your car 🙂 i have a 90 rs that is giving me hell rite now!! going to junk yard and going to replace absolutely everyting that could be wrong and see what happens then

another thing is that if the car sits more then just a couple mins it will try to die at idle, or low rpms and boggs like its out of gas…when it does this all i have to is tap the gas and it will be ok till rpms drop…may be fuel pump or something but if i turn off let sit it will start up and run great till i let it sit and idle again

love my 4cyl…but i believe a 6cyl would fit the occation a bit better….personal opinion

sweet…ill get it on the ramps first thing tomorrow…i am 19 years old..and really want to be a mechanic!! so all of the tips that you all are sharing is helping me alot not only to fix my problem s but tofind future ones
