yes. i am just asking as i have done lots of research on this particular motor. i do need to know if there is any problems (if at all) converting this engine back and forth from auto to manual. because in this specific case, the motor came from an auto and it is now installed in a manual. it is just a thing i would like to know as both these motors are quad 4 twin cam 2.4L. the motor we replaced was pre 2000 revision and the motor now in it is post 2000 revision.
i get the fact that for horsepower the 4.6 is garbage, but would you think another vic with a 5.0 in it would be cool and able to do 600 hp.
this guy gets it
but also in a area with real bad roads, the caravans are no match for really rough roads. it could be the drivers too doing that.
but you are right though. anywhere with decent roads these vans arent bad.i do too man.
what if i went ahead and bought a vic with a 302 in it, and mod that? im wondering if the 5.0’s in the interceptor vics are the same or a little different than the mustang. i would like to keep the car i have with the 4.6 because the 4.6 has plenty of torque for what i use it for, hence the fact that if i buy a interceptor with a 302 and build that. it is making a slow car fast but i want to make a sleeper, and see if i can get 600hp from the engine. lots of building required but it might still be cheaper than buying a new car lol.

I do not believe however they should make it sound like an engine. I also think they should have a switch or fuse or some way of shutting it off because I for one while i love my 4 cylinder diesel that sounds like a throaty V8 would much rather have an electric car with no sound so i can just listen to nature when on curvy back roads.
sci fi idea would be amazing! make it sound like KITT from knightrider lol
Where is the crank position sensor located on a 2.4 liter grand am. I thought I would give it a try as the I have read lots on it that could cause my issue. Need some pictures to see where it is located as what I have looked at doesn’t apply to my car for some reason. Have a parts car so thought I would give it a whirl does hurt anything. Just replaced the fuel pump thinking could be part of the problem too.
i believe this is the right position of the crank sensor. either that or autozone is wrong lol

just my thought go with motorcraft. ford built the car and the part so obviously ford knows what the engine nedds. oem is much less trouble, just a little more exspensive
