Could i test for a head gasket issue with a vacuum guage???
i called 4 auto zones.. they all said they dont carry them
iv watched the video 3 times… iv done those steps…… and where are you getting honda from?? the title of the add is 1998 dodge intrepid
Ok Well.. today i replaced the thermostat…. It eventually over heated again…. although it took a bit longer… it over heats while sitting and driving…..
would i need to bleed the system if i just swapped out the thermostat??? so what should my next step be??? and where is the bleeder screw anywaysyes its a combustion leak tester… NO stores carry them… i can only find them online……..
Hey C…. Yes you are correct it is on the lower left side… Where though?? what am i looking for??
Also just curious.. Why does the position of the thermostat make you think thats what it could be?? appose to if it wasnt on the lower left side… I do know about cars.. iv been at lincoln tech for 8 months and i work in a shop… but over heating issues have always been a issue for meno…
Havnt visually inspected the water pump.. not sure where it is.. Also nothing was done to the car… and it isnt to the top of the resevior tank when the car is cold.. but there is anough in there.. abou to the fill line… about a hour ago i started it up and the coolant in the resevoir tank started boiling and shooting out of the release hole
it wasnt right away… it was about a hours worth of driving
no signs of a gasket though.. no coolant in the oil.. no smoke from tail pipe
i have the 3.2
