Yeah I love the fuel mileage it get empty on the highway. The ECO mode it absolutely amazing. I’m fairly certain that I won’t be seeing that while towing the trailer. But you are also right about the amount of power it has. It’s really amazing that it is as quick as it is. I have no issues with merging or passing traffic. :woohoo:
It did come loaded with the 3.92 axle, class 5 hitch, brake controller, tow mirrors, and back up camera. I got this truck for a song I won’t hurt anyone’s feeling by sharing the price I paid. I’m sure the dealer still made a small profit but I feel good about it. If it breaks it’s under warranty this is the biggest positive about this truck.
The transmission problems are no longer a concern. the truck was hit tonight as I entered a parking lot by a Toyota carolla, It did substantial damage to the truck hitting in square in the driver’s rear door and rear axle assembly causing axle to shift 8 inches to the passenger side and foward about 6 on the drivers side. So I’m almost certain this vehicle will no longer be operational ever…..It sure is a crying shame that some people treat parking lots like express lines on a freeway.
Do you think this going to hurt the transmission at some point?
S10 oil pan tip. Undo body mounts raise body 2 inches and life is good. Ever since I’ve learned this trick oil pans and transmission removals have been much easier.
It is relatively simple. I do how ever recommend have a really high jack. I put some on my 93 and I failed to have it high enough. So my struggle was real.
Hey I have a 93 s10 with the 5 speed manual as well. I used the dexron 3 with the Lucas transmission additive. It seems to be happy. 260,000 miles on original engine and transmission and climbing.
