Well after all this time and after replacing every sensor it turned out to be the ecu. And after 2 of those I got the jeep to run right. Thank you guys for the help. Now I want to install a 2″lift

Checked the ecu and it did not do anything idled perfect. So I have one of those ELM 327 doggles so I checked the live data using the torque pro app and at idle my tps reads 11.4% I called a friend of mines who has a jeep same year and model but his has the 4.0 and had him come over and I compared his live data and his at idle was 19.2%. But both of our techs were reading the same revs around 640ish so could it be the tps? I know mine is the 4.7 and his a 4.0 but that is a big gap.

I will check it in the morning. I did have to replace the cats once it has cali emissions and the 02 sensors several times.

                Update:

Checked TIPSand cleaned Ac and throttle body and it still is doing it. I also changed the plugs and fuel filter and pulled each coil over plug and checked resistance. .. Found no issues. So I ordered a Idle air control sensor yesterday to see if the helps.

Mine also has many of the factory parts and runs good. I only have a issue it it sometimes wants to stumble and stall and loose power at times but I can’t figure it out since it does not throw a check engine light. And I am pushing 145,000.

Did you check the fuse and the relay?

Ok guys the problem fixed itself for awhile then came back. Well I was adding the Lucas Fuel injector cleaner and it seemed to go away. But again it is sparatic, while driving mostly at idle the engine will stumble and the Rpms will drop it will almost die then pick back up. While driving it will lose power until I floor it. 99% of the Times it won’t stall but if it does it will start right back up. I have dumped some B12 fuel system cleaner in it in the past 2 weeks but no change. I got one of those Bluetooth elms to see live data but don’t know what to look for. The plugs were just changed, so was the crankshaft sensor and the fuel filter. I also cleaned the throttle body. Btw it is not throwing any codes and does not happen all the time.

As the owner of a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee I have to say I am very upset that they are still dragging their feet on this, I got my recall notice but was told that because my Jeep has a skid plate protecting the gas tank that it is safe. Now there fix to this problem was to install trailer hitches on the jeeps and call it a day but mine does not even have that installed.

I have a 00 limited with the 4.7L and 45rfe. I have a P0751 code but have no real issues with it. I was told to get the updated flash for the tcm but never got around to doing it.

Thank you for the info, I own a 2000 wj 4.7 and it is pushing 145,000 miles and I have a few of those issues, leaking valve cover gaskets, sludge on oil cap, burning oil at times putting blue smoke out the exhaust, but not often. power steering line leaking. now in January I switched over to High Mileage Oil and noticed a big difference in oil consumption. before i was adding 3-4 quarts between changes. I changed over on 1/2/16 and only had to ad half a quart so far. I am a bit nervous with going with thicker oil in this motor with that many miles so I have been sticking with 5w30. It runs like a dream and my only issue with it is I have a slight miss that I only feel at idle and seems to go away when I use fuel injector cleaner or a fuel system cleaner but when I fill the tank back up it comes back like clock work, with no C.E.L. And a leaking real axle seal on the passenger side. Another common issue with the WJ is the blend doors breaking and the power window motors going bad. Other then that I love my WJ.
