The vibration has decreased quite a bit, however, it still vibrates. I ordered motor mounts from Honda hopefully I will be able to install them this weekend. Is there any tightening sequence I need to follow when installing these mounts, or can I just impact them in?
I had a similar issue and what I did was clean out the fast idle air control valve which is in the photo above. Disconnect the negative battery cable and unbolt the two 12mm bolts. For, me I could just lean it back and spray it out with carburetor cleaner and that worked for me. Some people have to literally take it off completely which is a bit of a pain. There are two coolant hoses you will have to disconnect and as I said they are a bit of a pain.

Sorry for the delay. I’m not sure why your scanner would show those codes. Have you had it checked to confirm those codes? Also, what is the Crv doing does it have any Performance issues?

November 1, 2014 at 5:35 am in reply to: 1999 CRV manual transmission just shift into first gear #630856Just finished the repair. It was the master cylinder and slave cylinder that I replaced. Just took the CRV out and it worked. Now the only thing that had me confused was I still had great peddle pressure and the reservoir was still full. However, the master was leaking as you see in the photo. The job took me 2 hrs and 11min (yes I timed myself) it would have been faster, but my pin was different as you see in the photo.
I’d like to say thank you to college man for your help. I’m sure your probably thinking I just gave you 2 links, but it was the same links I thought, so it was a confidence builder. Lastly, thank you Eric for this great web site. You give yard birds like me the help needed to get the job done and then we are able to give information about the repair from our DYI perspective in hopes it helps someone else out.

Thank you college man. I had actually read that and concluded that it would probably be the master cylinder. Just wanted to make sure, I was reading the same information you all would point me to. Also, taking Eric’s advice with changing master cylinder, slave cylinder, and also going with actual Honda parts.

Also, another option is to try a junk yard for the switch if you’re a novice with a voltmeter. Like that it’s a quick cheap test.
