Alright

I put fuel in the car but found out something else. When I started it today I “feathered” the throttle and got to review up. It back fired a little then died. Then I noticed, when I do give it gas it dies but if I let it be the computer keeps it running a bit. Is that clue to anything?

The ECU and TCU tend to go bad in the cars and when they do strange things happen from odd tranny shifts to hesitation or loss of power. This website has tons of information http://www.stealth316.com http://www.supercar-engineering.com/rubberducky/ and to have your computers rebuilt at a decent price http://www.foreignecurepair.com/ECMs_ECUs_3000GTVR4.htm

          Good luck. They’re great cars!
These are wheel lock right? The are broken? you don’t have the key? The socket method has always worked for me.
I have the key. The bottom right-side is whats left from trying to use the key to take it off. Lesson here is…Use a torque wrench when putting these things on!

So, I changed the plugs and cleaned out the engine intake, egr and the throttle body. The car now has a lot more power BUT still sutters. Could the timing belt cause this?

                          I did notice something else.

When I begin to drive, the needle on the speedo doesnt move for a couple of seconds. The tach is going and i’m doing 8 to 10 MPH but the speedo is at 0 then jumps to 20MPH. Do you guys think that it could be linked to this issue? The cruise control works fine. I had an Honda once and the two were tied together is why i mentioned that.

                              NO, I will replace it.

How would I know if the fuel pump was going out?
