Without seeing a wiring diagram I’m wondering if it’s your headlight switch. If they turn on when you use your turn signal, it could mean that the switch is shorted internally. You would need a wiring diagram and also to do some basic testing of the switch to determine if that was the cause. This article may be useful for that.

Where would I find a proper diagram? I do not have very much experience working on my car, out side of change my battery and wipers.

If you’re not even slightly mechanically or electrically inclined, then I’d say no, just bite the bullet and pay the money to have this fixed at a reasonable dealership service station, or somewhere else with a qualified technician to resolve this.
If you want to give it a go, that site with a multimeter, and watching a few tutorials on using a multimeter to diagnose electrical issues should help you sort it out. It could be the wiring, the turn-signal switch (if this is a multifunction one with headlight/fog control on it), or an issue with some secondary controller (BCM, etc).
it is a multifunction switch, it has the fog lights on it. I have a Chilton book, I think that has some electrical diagrams. I really want to work on my car. I never really had the right opportunity to do so.

When you put the multi switch on. see if the relay clicks for the fogs

To be honest, an electrical repair may not be the best repair to ‘pop your cherry’ on. Something like brakes or an oil change would be better. If you’re not familiar with reading wiring diagrams or using a multimeter, then you’re going to have a difficult time doing your diagnosis. In that case, you might end up doing more damage than good. I know that anytime someone brings me something they attempted to fix themselves and were unsuccessful, I charge more to pick up the peaces of their botched repair.
I’m not implying that you’re going to screw it up. I’m just advocating that you proceed with caution and consider your abilities before diving in.

I have watched that video before. I understand the ramifications. I would hate to cause my mechanic any new problems. I got my car back from my mechanic a couple a months ago spent over 2 grand on new head-gasket and other problems. I would hate to drop it off again. I was hoping that it would be something simple. I understand the wire diagrams to a degree.
What would be your guys plan of action if you were in my shoes?

when I was driving, If I Leave the fog light switch on, and barley lift the right indicator so the don’t turn on, I can hear it click and the fogs light turn on. theres a problem with the combo switch.see if this helps.It does sound like an issue with the combination switch but if you replace it and that’s not the problem, you’re back to square one. If you’re willing to take the risk then replace the switch and see what happens. As for my plan of action, I would verify the operation of the switch using a wiring diagram and test light or DVOM. In short, I would verify that the switch was the issue before replacing it.
