i just replaced the front left cv axle and lower control arm with ball joint. The new control arm came with a Zerk fitting which i screwed on. When i went to grease it with a brand new grease gun and black molly grease…it wont go in thru the Zerk fitting. I backed the Zerk fitting off a few threads..still the grease wont go in the ball joint. if i pump the grease gun off the zerk fitting, it flows just fine. Has anyone run into this? is there some trick that i am missing..i watched Eric’s video on lubing a chassis…looks like i am doing the same thing….i just dont get it. I am affraid i will wear out the ball joint too early if i dont get it packed with grease soon.
      Thanks for the help.

Remove the new zerk fitting from the ball joint and stick it in the grease gun. see if any grease comes through the fitting. if not then try your old one. poss the new zerk fitting is defective.

You could also remove the fitting and just force grease through the hole to get the thing going for now.

            I like this idea.

I have run into it and it’s usually ‘cheaper’ parts that have that issue.
