Doing a full restore on my libby this weekend (two rust spots I know)
Truck is in “near” MINT condition.
(BIG edit as users were “confused”)
I am beyond good with rust repair (meaning I have done it successfully but just want some opinions)
I typically use straight filler on cars without the fiberglass strands in it. I never use just fiberglass to fill rust holes as its harder to work with. (I HAVE heard of Tiger Hair, thanks McWicked)
My question to you guys is:
Is it better to use straight body filler or the premixed filler with fiberglass in it?
What brand of rust inhibitor should I get? I have heard many things on the body filler and rust inhibitor.

Im beyond good with body repair, however ive come across a new product. It is body filler but has fiberglass strands in it.. I dont remember the name but you can get it at any auto store. My plan of attack is wire wheel and rust inhibitor for a few hours.
My question is, what do yall prefer? Im not going the fiberglass route as its not needed for what im doing. Driver door small corner rust, righr rear roof corner near hatch and two small spots near the windshield.
Use regular body filler? Or the new body filler with fiberglass in it? Also, what is a good rust inhibitor? Planning to go to autozone btw..[/quote]

Sorry, but your question was difficult to follow. You start by saying your ride is “mint”, then proceed to spell out needed bodywork. That’s a contradictory statement. Then you say that you’re “beyond good with body repair” but you’ve never heard of Tiger Hair… but then you say it doesn’t matter, because you’re not going to use it… then follow it up by asking if you should use it…

Mint as in everything else is great. I thought i put “near MINT” i Typed that on my phone. I asked for an opinion on what type of body filler to use. I typically use straight filler with a wire mesh to fill the holes. Beyond good in body repair as in I know how to do it, I just want someone elses opinion. An I did not follow up asking if I should use it. I simply stated that I am not going the fiberglass route meaning straight fiberglass with the hardener. I know what Tiger Hair is, I have just never used it. It shouldn’t have been hard to understand what I was asking.

I fixed it for you McWicked. Reread my first post.
