would mustang 3.8L headers work on 4.2L f150

just wanna know if 3.8L mustang headers work on 4.2L f150 im gonna do a new custom exhaust
and really dont wanna spend $300-500 on headers. i found some from a mustang that im thinking of getting but not sure if it will bolt up to that heads. they look like there the same.

my truck is a 1997 and i been looking at headers for a mustang 1998-2000 and look they look the same

check whether the bolt holes are the same distance apart, same with the header holes. you don’t want a small hole on the head and a big hole on the header, vice versa. they have to line up exactly.
i’m not sure if they do, do some research, look up the specs on both headers.

Things like that don’t often work out especially on Fords. The headers MIGHT bolt up to the engine but the clearance may be wrong, you’re talking about 2 very different vehicles. Get the headers for your application if you’re worried about it not working out.
