      Have a 99 honda civic thats making a a screeching noise when turned on?

        Uh, what? Are you having start up problems? Or a screeching noise? Or both? Is the A/C turned on when you start the car? If the compressor is locked up, the screeching noise may be the belt slipping on the A/C pulley, but your post doesn’t make alot of sense. It could just be a weak serpentine belt slipping on pulleys anyway. Where does the distributor come into play here? More info please.

          Yea we’re going to need a little more info in order to help you starting with a little better description of the problem, do that and we can go from there.
