Won’t take freon

I’ve got a 1995 Gmc Vandura 2500 5.7 with rear air. I replaced the ac compressor Accumaltor and orfice tube, Pulled a vacuum got the system all the way down to 29 micron. Held vacuum over night. Tried to fill up this morning with Freon and can not get system to take it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

How are you trying to add it? With the system under vacuum, with the engine off, it should accept a can of refrigerant through your AC manifold. Once the pressures equalize, you should be able to start the engine and add more accordingly.
