Wiring my Radiator Fan

Hi,

I got into some faulty electrical wiring problem today.

My Radiator Fan was not working, I did some troubleshooting and found out that it was not spinning/turning on which I presume was possibly caused by an electrical failure, why?

I found out that a pair of wire which when connected together allows the car to start has been corroded, I have the fans (my assumption) turned on when the ignition is turned-on.

I was planning to do some basic wiring 101 just to drive it home (15mi) and will have it checked the very next day, so I was thinking of the following:

1. Hot Wiring it, what would be the effect?
2. Wiring 101, such

Radiator – Relay – Toggle Switch, but I don’t know the following:

Relay Amp Ratings (30 or 45) etc..
Correct wire gauge from RF to Relay
Correct wire gauge from Relay to Toggle Switch?

🙁 Can somebody help me with some schematics or at least a design, I need your help to figure this out..
